My daughter Taylor says, “When I combine all of my ingredients together before baking I use my clean washed hands instead of a spoon to mix it all together. If you think that’s weird you can use the spoon option, but from experience (believe it or not,) it tastes better, stays clumped, and is oh, so much more fun!”

Mama’s Granola
12 cups oats
2 cups brown sugar or sucanat
2 cups coconut
1 cup nuts (opt.)
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup dried milk powder (opt.)
1 cup water
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/3 cups honey
1 1/3 cups butter melted or oil
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. vanilla
2 cups of your favorite dried fruits
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Combine all ingredients except dried fruit. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour. Do not stir.
Spread out to cool. Add dried fruit. You can use peanut butter and not as much sugar if you love peanut butter. Enjoy!!
