I have a friend who specializes in Naturopathy and Natural medicine. She recently told my husband and I about the benefits of the gogi (or goji) berry. It is a super food full of antioxidants that looks like dried red raisins. Here is her recipe for a delicious and power-packed drink. She states, “This smoothie is so energizing and yummy. It gets some greens into your body without you even tasting them and the kiddos will never know.”

Berry Green Smoothie

2 bananas
2 c. water
handful of spinach or 2 kale leaves stripped off the stem
1 Tbls. Gogi berries*
1 tsp. bee pollen
1 c. frozen fruit (I usually use a mixture of strawberries, blueberries, etc.)
can also throw in some fresh or frozen pineapple, frozen dried apple rings (yes, frozen)

If you need more water, just add.

So yummy and extremely healthy!
