“Another friend and I were talking about making quick breads. I love making Banana Nut, Zucchini and Applesauce breads. She mentioned that she used to make one in Indiana where they were from called Strawberry Bread. So for her 81st birthday this year I made this up…using her recipe. Norma’s Strawberry Bread

Sift together in large bowl:

3 Cups plain flour
1 t baking soda
1 t Salt
2 t cinnamon
2 C sugar ( I used Florida Crystals)

Make a well in the center and add:

2-10 oz pkgs. frozen strawberries, thawed
1 1/4 C chopped pecans
4 eggs well beaten
1 1/4 C Oil

Mix and pour into well. Stir enough to moisten well. Pour into 2 well greased & floured loaf pans. Bake 45 mins to 1 hr at 350 degrees. Test center to make sure it comes out clean.

Makes 2 Loaves
